Your job moved into your house, give it a second address.

Working from home is great, until the laptop never really closes. Below, we reveal the new way to walk into your house as the person who lives there again.

It's eleven steps to the kitchen, and no end to the day.

It’s been 3 weeks since you’ve last spoken to someone in person on a work day. The delivery driver doesn’t count.

Everyone else is a face on Teams. Six hours of strategy talks or KPI discussions that you can’t really blab about in a coffee shop.

The one time you tried, you got a few nasty glares from the staff for nursing a cappuccino past lunch.

And you’d never go back to five full days in. You didn’t move to sit in traffic again.

But, during dinner last night your partner asked you how your day went, and you answered like you were still on mute at 16:00.

Because there is no radio, podcast, or playlist on the drive home anymore. There simply isn’t anything at 17:00 to end a working day at home.

So you figure it’s you. Somewhere along the way you just got worse at switching off.

Your job used to have its own address. Now it lives in your house.

There’s a way to get it back out and it doesn’t mean going back to five days in the office.

There’s a way to win back your evenings, without any of these.

We call it the Two Address Week.

Two days a week, your job goes to 9 High Street. The other three, you keep the remote life you chose.

  • Its own address. So the living room is just the sofa and TV.

  • A real start. Mark or Louise greet you by name, and the coffee bar opens at 08:30.

  • A real end. We close at 17:00, and the drive home ends the day the way the old commute used to. But on country roads instead of a dual carriageway.

  • People, at a human scale. About 20 seats, no soulless business park, nobody making you network.

  • Calls handled. At your desk, or in the phone booth with the door shut.

Here is what our customers are saying.

OBSESSED! It has a stunning interior. Great chilled vibe. Amazing coffee. I'll pretend I don't just sit and eat cake [but some days I do .... work comes after].

Lou & Mark are incredible people. I'm new to the area, Olney is a great place, and on my first day spent in OW, I spoke to 4 people [after working alone in an office] and felt like a new woman. Owning a business can feel lonely. I've finally found my people. Love! I plan to make this my 2-day per week visit [for some humans and sanity ..... okay, yes, and cake].

Great environment to work in. Facilities are great and it is great to be in an office environment for a day or two a week. Oh and the coffee is spot on and the people behind it are super.

  • Amanda

    ★★★★★

The perfect place to get lots of work done. Gorgeous interiors which helps to keep me motivated and the coffee is fab. Louise and Mark have created an amazing space to get away from being distracted by the laundry!

  • Alessio

    ★★★★★

Great to take a break from installing air conditioning and get on with some paperwork today in a nice quiet chilled out space where I can focus on the computer and not get distracted by the dogs or the tv at home.

Thanks and see you again soon.

    ★★★★★

Wow! An amazing place to work on the move, hot desk, network for modern day working life and superb coffee choices and pastry’s. Really warm friendly greeting from the owners and nothing is too much effort to help you get meetings done and go about your working day, online or in person. The private phone booth is a great touch too for those more confidential calls.

    ★★★★★

A lovely, welcoming workspace right in the heart of Olney. Comfortable, thoughtfully designed and with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The background music is upbeat without being distracting, and I’m becoming slightly addicted to the blondies! A great place to get some focused work done, with the added bonus of being part of a local working community. Really pleased to have somewhere like this locally!

  • Darren

    ★★★★★

Great space (and coffee) and highly recommended for a quiet place to work or hold meetings.

  • Lucy

    ★★★★★

First time using the workspace. Owners were lovely and welcoming. The desk facilities were just what you need. No issues with the WiFi, even having teams calls and other people using. Added bonus with a coffee bar on site so didn't need to leave.

You’ve been in your home office since 08:00, putting off a hard task by playing with the dog.

Got a task you’ve been putting off for the last few days? The report, the reconciliation, the proposal you’ve moved to tomorrow four times.

You’re probably thinking: I’ve got three screens at home. Anywhere else, I’m squinting at a laptop and getting less done.

So, bring that one job that doesn’t need three screens. It needs a desk that’s yours until 12:30, plugs right in front of you, and nothing in the room asking for your attention. No laundry, no dog at the door, no TV.

Can’t work on one screen? Book a dedicated desk instead, it comes with a monitor and a docking station.

Half a day. £14. The job you’ve been dodging since Monday, done before lunch.

FOUNDER PRICING ENDS 11th December - Prices go up.

  1. Pick your day. The button opens our booking page. Choose the date, then a hot desk or a dedicated desk.

  2. Make a quick account. Your name, your email and a card. That’s all it asks for. Your confirmation lands in your inbox straight away.

  3. Download the Olney Workspace app. It holds your booking, so there’s nothing to print and no code to remember.

  4. On the day, park on the High Street and walk in. Mark or Louise will be behind the bar. They’ll get you onto the Wi-Fi, show you your desk and point out the phone booth. You’ll be sitting down with a coffee before your first call.

The coffee bar at Olney Workspace
  5. Bring three things. Your laptop, your charger, and the work you’ve been putting off since Monday.

Then work until your booking ends, close the laptop and drive home.

No contract. Rolling monthly membership only.

The questions everyone asks before their first morning.

Is parking actually free, or do I get a ticket after two hours?

Free spaces on the High Street.

Does the phone booth cost extra?

No. It’s included with every booking. Close the door, take the call, come back to your desk.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Day passes are just that. Memberships run month to month.

What happens at 17:00 if my call runs over?

We close at 17:00, but nobody throws you out mid-sentence.

Do I need the app?

Yes. Bookings, memberships and payments all live in it. It asks for your name, email and a card.

Will it be packed and noisy?

There are about 20 seats, so it never feels like a call centre. Mornings are busy at the coffee bar, then it settles down.

Can I leave my laptop at the desk while I go to the loo?

It’s your desk until your booking ends.

Is this a networking thing?

No. No lanyards, no going round the room introducing yourself, nobody making you pitch. People chat at the coffee bar, or they don’t.

Can my employer pay for it?

Yes, please bring this up through messaging in the app or when you walk in.

What’s the Wi-Fi like?

BT fast fibre, 900Mbps down and 110Mbps up. Dedicated desks also have Ethernet.

Can I bring a client?

Yes. Book the meeting room by the hour, or bring them along on a day pass.

There’s an eviction notice for the job at your home.

Your job moved into your house. It has no address of its own, so it never clocks off. Give it a second one: a desk at 9 High Street, from £14 for a half day, with free parking and the phone booth included.

Or don’t, and tonight goes the way last night did. Laptop shut at 17:00, head still on the 16:00 call, answering your partner like you’re on mute. It costs nothing, which is exactly why it keeps happening.

Book one morning. Bring the job you’ve been dodging since Monday.
